Stafford visited Eccleshall Ladies for their first competitive game in their team career.Eccleshall at the top of their game since finishing mid table in their new league, Mids 3, showed the newcomers the fundamentals of the 10s game.It was tries all round for the home team coming from the usual suspects Alex Downes and Amy Seabridge plus up and coming winger Anna Busby,Becky Brayshaw and old hand Becky Davies!Stafford were quickly put on the back foot and sustained several injuries due to the hard ground.Final score was 83-0 to Eccleshall.All at Eccleshall had nothing but admiration for the new side as they never let their heads drop and played the whole game in good spirits! We wished Stafford the best of luck for their future and hoped that this would be the start of a good working relationship of games and training between the 2 teams. 

RFUW REGIONAL10S TOURNAMENT

       SATURDAY 28TH APRIL 2007

The weather forecast was hot,hot,hot,so it was decided the theme for this tournament would be 'The Beach' so the men donned their Hawain shirts and the team sported their best shades and flipflops plus the addition of various blow up toys(including a crocodile) and water pistols!

This was to be Eccleshalls last competitive rugby weekend of the season and we were determined to enjoy!

Fun changed to serious when we were confronted with the play list.The might of Lichfield,Worcester,Camp Hill,Old Leamingtonians and Warwick Uni were all there to contest the day.Not one team from our league had dared to enter !!!!!!!

With Scorching sun on our backs and rock hard ground to greet tackles it was with pride that I had the pleasure of playing on the Eccleshall side,for every player gave the best of their ability to come up against these top teams in games that never put us to shame! To come away with a win against Warwick topped the perfect day where as a team we have come of age!
